Introduction

This cell aims to offer students exposure to the industry. The initial opportunity is a 2-weeks to 4-weeks summer internship from their first year, followed by a more extensive 12-weeks project-internship during their final semester. LIT has consistently been favored by top firms that provide internship placements.

Students engage in internships across various sectors such as Manufacturing, FMCG, Analytics, IT, and Government Institutions. This exposure to different industries equips students with practical skills to address real-world challenges encountered within organizational settings. Simultaneously, companies benefit from the fresh perspectives and contributions of these interns.

Summer Internship:

2 – 4 weeks after the even semester of the year.
Normal period – June/July.

It is important to provide students with the chance to put into practice the concepts they’ve learned in their first year, engage in meaningful assignments to apply these concepts, foster critical thinking, and generate ideas for potential implementation. This process will culminate in an internship report that will be shared with both the company and the institution.

Project Internship:

12 weeks during the final semester.
Normal period – March to May.

Students may be allocated tasks involving either areas requiring enhancement or issues requiring resolution. It is preferred that this process integrates a data-driven methodology and adheres to the standards of systematic research. The goal is to propose a solution for the company’s consideration. Additionally, the result will encompass a project report submitted to both the company and the educational institution.
